Single Door Refinish

Single door single side refinishes include filling and sealing any cracks, stripping the old finish off and sanding down the wear and tear your door has accumulated, applying new stain to bring life back into the wood and you can even pick a different color, and then we spray four coats of marine grade spar urethane clear coat finish sealing and protecting your door from the elements
Double Door Refinish

Weather-Stripping

Around the frame of any exterior and garage entry door will be a stripping of material that helps create a seal the locks the outside out and keeps you comfortable inside. An improperly sealed home can be costly during over time as the climate you keep in your home leaks into the outside world and it is recommended to be replaced at least every 5 years. Sometimes it’s a copper strip and sometimes it’s a vinyl cushion, whatever your home may have we either carry with us or can get from our local manufacturer in Tomball. We will remove the old weatherstripping, replace it, and adjust everything to assure you are getting a proper seal around the doorway.

Attached to the bottom of your doors and designed to create a weather seal and keep critters out you will find either a sweep or a J-Hook. Along with the weatherstripping around your door frame the seep or J-Hook needs to be replaced periodically and it’s recommended every 5 years. Since these are stapled to the bottom of the door we have to remove the door off the hinges to get access to the bottom so this is definitely a project that isn’t easily handled by most home owners and is usually overlooked until it causes a problem.
Side Lights, Transoms and More

Some entryways have stained and finished jambs and trim around it, we will refinish it in the same methods as a door so they match

Some entryways have stationary glass and woodwork to one or both sides of the door(s) that allow more light into the home and are stained and finished to match.

Like a sidelight a transom is a glass and wood panel that is above the entryway that lets more light into the home that are also stained to match the door.
Armor Coating

By adding two additional coats of our marine grade spar urethane to your beautiful front door now, you are extending the life of your door’s finish. We like to think that the thicker you make the barrier between the wood and the elements, the better the protection it has. You can add up to two total armor coats per door or other item.
Full Package

The full package includes a basic refinish plus an armor coat bumping the total coats from four to six and increasing your doors protection, plus a full weatherstripping replacement around the door jamb and also under the door with a sweep or J-Hook. Opt for the package and save $25.

Iron Grills

Some entryways have doors that have decorative iron grills over the glass that are painted black. You can’t refresh your door and leave the iron in shambles, but don’t fret! We can paint both sides of the iron grill for you so that your whole door looks brand new!!
Maintenance

After having a full refinish you are probably wondering how you can maintain that glorious finish. To be honest there isn’t much else that can be done other than add more finish on top. Either every year or every other year we can lightly sand and apply two coats of new finish to the door. Depending on how much sun damage your door receives you can get a few maintenances in before you need a full refinish again.
